Giles qualified as an osteopath in 1984 and has practiced extensively within the UK. He uses craniosacral and conventional structural osteopathy techniques and has a Master's Degree in Osteopathic Paediatrics.
Giles opened The Chandos Clinic as a centre of excellence in osteopathy and complementary medicine in 1999.
He has taught extensively in the UK for the Sutherland Cranial College and founded the paediatric unit for the master's degree programme at the European School of Osteopathy. He also co-founded the Bristol Children's Clinic in 1997.
In addition he has his own teaching school, Integrated Osteopathic Studies, through which he runs around a dozen residential courses each year for post-graduate Osteopaths. His teaching extends to Finland, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, Spain and Germany as well as the UK & Ireland. Giles has been a qualified and prescribing homeopath since 1990 and in his earlier years of practice, worked with horses by treating them with osteopathy and homeopathy.
