Osteopathy is a well-established, widely practiced and recognised healthcare treatment, which can help with a variety of complaints.

Through osteopathy you may discover that the source of your daily aches and pains can be addressed by the re-balancing of your musculo-skeletal system.

You may be suffering from backache, headaches, poor sleep, bad posture or restricted muscular mobility and not be able to identify the root cause.

Maybe you have had a more serious accident, have a condition such as arthritis or are experiencing discomfort during pregnancy and require specific treatment.

Professional and gentle hands-on osteopathy can help to restore the body to a state of balance and harmony and improve your general health.

Structural Osteopathy

This traditional method involves a variety of physical manipulations. In order to increase the mobility of joints and relieve muscle tension, stretching and massage is used alongside gentle joint manipulation.

In addition to balancing your musculo-skeletal system, this will enhance the blood and nerve supply to the body's tissues and help your own healing mechanisms.

Your osteopath may also offer advice on posture and exercise to complement your treatment.

Cranial Osteopathy

This method of treatment uses very gentle manipulative pressure to encourage the release of stress throughout the body, including the head.

Cranial osteopaths are trained to feel a subtle, rhythmical shape change that is present throughout the whole body, including the skull. It is a gentle, yet extremely effective approach.

Cranial osteopathy suits all ages from birth upwards and by definition of its gentle nature, is especially effective for treating young children and babies.
